Ready for something new? Changing your hairstyle is a great way to freshen up your look for the season. If you want a change but not sure what look to go for, we’ve picked our favorite trending men’s haircuts for 2018. Whether you want something long, short, or in-between, check out these stylish haircuts below.

The undercut has been popular for a few years and it’s not going anywhere in 2018. The good thing about an undercut is that there’s no short supply of variation. You can do an undercut with long hair on top or keep it short. A skin fade and beard look great paired with an undercut. If you have curly hair, it also looks stylish paired with the undercut. To really jazz it up, try an undercut paired with a pompadour, long fringe, or messy spiked hair. You can also shave designs into undercuts for an extra cool look.

If you’re feeling sick of your hair and want to make a statement, try a buzz cut. Plenty of dashing and dapper celebrities have sported this cut over the years, so why not try it out? Men with oval and square shaped faces can rock this minimalistic haircut. There are multiple versions of the buzz cut to choose from. The classic “military” buzz cut is just about as short as your hair can get without shaving your head. Alternatively, the crew cut is a more versatile style. This cut will leave you with some length so you have more styling options.

The Best Men's Haircuts For Spring

Who says guys can’t have long flowing locks? For men who want a laid-back look that’s also masculine, the bro flow is a great option. Whether you’ve got wavy hair, straight hair, or curly hair, you can pull off the flow. This hairstyle can look great on men of any age, so don’t be afraid to grow out your hair if you’ve got some greys. You can wear it with a beanie or in a half-up man bun. It also looks great with a well-groomed beard.

The voluminous blowout is not just for the ladies. A blowout for men usually features long hair on the top with shorter, faded sides. This hairstyle works well for straight hair, afros, and wavy hair. You can choose a super voluminous blowout for extra drama, a messy, textured blowout for something more laid-back, a spiked blowout for something edgier, or a quiffed blowout to combine trends.

The comb-over is a classic hairstyle for men. It looks great with any hair texture or length and can work with a side part, undercut, or fade. Should you want to keep your hair longer with a comb-over, you can accentuate the part line with a hard part and comb all the hair to one side. Do you want to pair your comb-over with a fade? This style looks great with high fades, low fades, and skin fades. You can also style a comb-over with various hair lengths and textures.

This year’s top men’s hairstyle trends are the fresh twists on classic styles. This means you don’t need to make a huge change to your hair to stay on trend, as small details like texture and styling will be important. In fact, the hottest modern haircuts seem to all be textured using a matte pomade or hair wax. Our favourites are American Crew in that regard.

So whether you prefer short, long or medium length hair, a good hairstyle is out there for you. From the slicked back undercut to the comb over fade to the quiff, check out what’s trending now on Pinterest for ideas on your next cut.

Hair this year was all about looking to the past to predict the future, and it's been a wild ride revisiting some of beauty's more polarizing trends. From baby bangs to double barrettes, here's a look back at the biggest hair trends we saw in 2018.

There's big hair—and then there's the hair seen on the pre-fall 2019 Versace runway last night. Model Grace Elizabeth's hair was pulled into a super-high ponytail, decorated with three Versace brooches, and then pounds of fake hair were added in for the sky-high cascading effect. The look was reminiscent of the latest Valentino runway, where model Kaia Gerber stormed the catwalk in hair so voluminous you could practically see it from the ISS.

Kate Middleton basically invented the royal ponytail. The humble hairstyle, once thought to be too athletic and sporty for red carpets and royal families, has been a staple of the Duchess for years. Her version is always polished and perfect, but in late 2018, Middleton took her ponytail one step further. Instead of simply pulling her back with an elastic or wrapping the base with a strand of hair, Middleton has been wearing a black velvet elastic affixed with a bow.

Dope 2018 Summer Hairstyles For Black Women

I love the way that something that's been around and has a funny connotation can come back, hairstylist Guido Palau said backstage at Alexander Wang of the designer's claw clip. If you remember the clips from the first time around—and perhaps still have a few of your own—Palau wants to make you feel really, really old: Also, you've got to remember, lots of girls probably don't remember what the banana clip is. There's an 18 or 17-year-old girl, they don't know it has a funny connotation to it. They may just think it's super cool to do that in their hair.

Baby bangs—that is, fringe cut intentionally shorter than your eyebrows—have been trending since the beginning of the year. But it appears that the polarizing haircut trend is here to stay, at least until the end of spring 2019. Model Kaia Gerber hit the Miu Miu spring 2019 runway in Paris wearing one of the boldest baby bangs looks we've seen this year.

Hairstylist Renda Attia was behind Jasmine Sanders's breathtaking braid at this year's Met Gala. The braid was center-parted and plaited down the center of her back. Small red roses were pinned everywhere down the braid, while pink and red velvet ribbon were wrapped around various sections of hair. When you look closely, you can also see that gold ribbon and tiny pearls strung on gold wire were wrapped around section of hair too. There was a lot going on in the hair look—and it will probably take Sanders four hours to unravel—but the end result is nothing short of jaw-dropping.

If you're going to dye your hair one color this year, make it Nirvana Blonde. Hairstylists Nikki Lee and Riawna Capri dubbed the soft platinum hue they gave to Selena Gomez after the legendary Kurt Cobain. It has a lived-in effect from the moment you leave the salon, and it's easier on your roots, too.

At Moschino, Prada, Fendi, and Tom Ford, models stormed the runways in faux-cuts and choppy bangs that had a decidedly boyish quality to them.

Leave it to Rihanna to dream up one of the coolest hairstyles for 2018. At her spring Fenty Puma show, models walked the motocross-inspired runway with their ponytails wrapped in elastic neon string. Wrapped in sections and tied at random, the string created perfectly imperfect bubbled sections along the length of the tail.

The answer to whether or not you should get bangs is always yes—especially in 2018. Take a cue from Victoria's Secret Angel Taylor Hill and try a messy, choppy fringe paired with your long natural hair texture.
